About True Holiness Church
From The Pastor's Desk
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. Another year has come and I thank God for His Mercy and His Everlasting Love. I thank God for the Calling that he bestowed upon my life, although the road does get rough and the going gets tough I thank God for the strength He has given me.

Sometimes I look over my life and begin to thank God for all the good things he has done for me, I just have to praise him. God has placed a love in my heart for the people of God and He let me know that " all Souls are Mine" saideth the Lord. Ezekiel 18:4

I realize that we can't do nothing without God. Also I Thank God for the vision that he gave me for the Church and the People of God. He let me know that he built this house and the Very Gates of hell will not prevail it.

The scripture sayth Except God Build the House the worker worketh in vain. One thing I Know True Holiness has not just been built. I thank God for everyone for being steadfast in the faith. I beseech you Brothen and
Sisters to please hold on to God's unchanging hand and whatever you do please stay with God and God will stay with you.

I thank God for everyone who participated to make this a joyous day, may God forever bless you.

Remember the Hymn that our Founder Song so often" To Serve the Present Age My Calling to Fulfill, O may it all my power engage to do my Master's will."

To Our Youth you are the best to me I Love You all very much please pray that God
continue to give me strength to do his will I know the harvest is ripe and I realize the
Labors are few.
Love Elder Evelyn Mosley, Pastor

CHURCH HISTORY
In the year of 1965, the voice of God spoke to Elder Watson to lead his people. She started out by organizing a Prayer Band. Since she had the Spirit of loving to give to the ones who was in need, she named the prayer band, "Charity and Soul Saving Prayer Band." Many souls were saved, and bodies healed, and deliverance came, along with many contributions to the needy through this Prayer Band.

Early one morning in the year of 1971, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to Elder Watson to "launch out into the deep and let your net down for a draught." Not with understanding of the voice, she spoke to her Pastor concerning this. She was instructed that God wanted her to Pastor. She refrained from the advice not wanting to do this. She was appointed as Assistant Pastor of The House of God by Sr. Bishop P. J. Fletcher from headquarters at Nashville, Tennessee. She served as Assistant Pastor of the House of God faithfully.

In 1973 the Lord spoke to her at 12:00 noon, one Tuesday (date unknown), that he had "set her a watchman over the house of Israel. Hear the word at his mouth and instruct his people." She told God, I quote, " If you give me assurance that this is what you want me to do, I'll do it." So, in the year of 1974, she turned in her resignation as Assistant Pastor of the House of God Church of the Living God Pillar and Ground of Truth, Inc., in Nashville, Tennessee. She was still the leader of the Prayer Band. Before day one morning in April 1974, a voice spoke to her "The prayer band shall be called True Holiness Prayer Band, teach the people to be true, not a hypocrite."

In the month of May 1975, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to her, "cast your net on the other side." She went to God about this. The Lord led her in this direction. The first (1st) Sunday in July the True Holiness Church was founded and organized with the following officials: Bishop Mosley, Bishop Givens, Presiding Bishop; Sister Rose Stevens, Clerk. The church was organized with three members in which two are still with us today: Missionary. Margaret Johnson, Evangelist Vanessa Coleman, Minister Robert Williams, and Elder Louise Watson, Pastor.

This church held service at the Pastor's home 3523 Gladys Street. In the month of September 1975, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to the Pastor and told her to "enlarge the place of her tent and let the stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations; spare not, lengthen their cords, and strengthen their stakes; for thy shall break forth on the right hand and the left." So, she followed instructions from the Lord and found this little house on Spring Grove Road which the owner let her have rent free.

They marched from Gladys Street (her home) the first Sunday in December 1975 with 2 adults, 4 young adults and a few small children. The first Revival was conducted in March 1976 by Elder Le Hall. Fourteen souls got saved and baptized and joined the True Holiness Church and the Lord began to bless in a tremendous way, spiritually and financially.
COVENANT
OF
TRUE HOLINESS CHURCH
We, having been called out of the world by the blessed Spirit of God, and having become acquainted with the Articles of Faith, and believing it to be of God, and having given. our names and thereby become members of the same, do solemnly, but cheerfully with joy and gladness enter this covenant;

We will watch over one another with brotherly and sisterly love and kindness, not that. we may where of to accuse our brothers and sisters, but that we may with meekness correct each other's faults.

We will abstain from frivolous conversation such as foolish talking and joking, from backbiting and tattling, or taking up a reproach against any one especially our brothers and sisters.

We will heed this injunction of the Apostle (Ephesians 4:1-3) who exhort us to walk worthy of the vocation where which we are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering forbearing one another in love; we will bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. We will also heed the exhortation recorded in 1st Thessalonians
5:12-14; "And we beseech you brethren to know them who labor among you, and over you in the Lord and admonish you: and esteem them very highly in love for the work's sake and peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you brethren, warn them that are unruly and dis- orderly, comfort the feeble, support the weak, be patient toward all men, see that no one render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow which is good, both toward yourself and
toward all men, and will recompense to no man evil to evil, but will provide things honest in all men and if it be possible, as much as lieth in us we will live peaceable with all men,"
(Romans 12:17).

As opportunity affords, we will be engaged in works of mercy such as visiting the sick and imprisoned and distressed and all that will accept our ministration.

We will have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11) but keep ourselves by the Grace of God (I Peter 1:5) unspotted from the world (James 1:27) all this we will do, God being our helper.

RESPONSE: WE ACCEPT THE OBLIGATION OF THIS COVENANT IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST; IN JESUS NAME AMEN.
